The endless possibilities for practice at Rinkven are comparable with any golf academy and certainly among the best in Belgium. With 5 greens, driving range places partly on grass and partly covered, extensive bunkers of different types, swing studios and an indoor putting room Rinkven members and visitors are spoilt for choice.
30 to 35 teeline places are available throughout the year. During the summer a wide grass tee is open for practice . Top quality practice balls are provided free by the club and these may also be used in the fairway bunker to the left of the range. Woods may be used on the range for shots up to 250m.
A large (1000m2) practice green specially shaped in order to safely accommodate several players simultaneously allows for the exercise of all types of short game shots from a variety of different lies from collar length grass to heavy rough. This green, which is maintained at the same condition as the greens on the courses, is situated apart from the other facilities so that practice can proceed in all serenity.
A small green is available adjacent to the range exclusively for chipping as a “warm-up” green in preparation for competitions.
Shots of up to 80m can be played to this green using the players own balls. Such pitching practice can take place from an all-weather mat or indeed during the summer from the grass areas.
The main putting green between clubhouse and the caddyhouse has an area of over 1200m2 and can therefore accommodate large numbers of players even for shot-gun tournaments. In addition a small putting and chipping green is available for warm-up or general practice alongside the first tee of the South Course. For winter practice an indoor putting green is also available.
This space is a new step towards the high-end guidance that the club strives for sporty golfers. Thanks to the support of pro Simon Crosby from Pro Performance Golf, a brand new indoor putting green of over 60 square meters was opened. The use of the PuttView is unique in the Benelux. It's a revolutionary software that helps you to read lines and that further refines your putting stroke, also during the winter months.
In addition to the putting green, a space has also been provided for physical training, which will be used by Diederik Van Doorselaar to shape your body for golf.
